Robert W. Morgan

Into Russia

In 1990, Robert revived his interest in filmmaking when he was offered to create, write and direct what was intended to be the first motion picture to be co-produced between America and PARITET, a Russian film production company.  He created a series concept that would pair a young Russian actor with a Native American in a film he entitled Misha: the Lost Son of Grizzly Adams.   Indeed, another leading role would have cast the Russian film and ballet star Galina Belyaeva.  This was considered a major public relations coup. However, that production was cancelled amid the chaos that followed the revolution that ousted Premier Gorbachev.

Galina and Robert have remained friends and she has agreed to appear in his planned film series, Tales from ShamanWalk Mountain.  These are a Harry Potteresque set of adventures placing a young Russian boy among Native American shamans in the 1800s.
